Competent Person Reports
I have contributed to competent person reports as a consultant and facilitated their preparation as an operator. A technical consultant’s job is to validate the input data that forms the basis of an asset valuation. For a geophysicist, this comprises seismic and logs, seismic interpretation, basic petrophysics and well ties, depth conversion and reservoir characterisation.
In addition, I am well versed in prospect risking and volumetrics (predominantly in REP software).
Previous experience includes:
- Ophir (2010 & 2011), Congo, Tanzania, Madagascar, EG, AGC, Gabon
- Hurricane (2008, 2010), West of Shetland
- Serica (2008), North Sea
- Glencore (2010–2013), EG, Cameroon, Chad
- BG (2011), audit of prospect volumetrics and risking methodologies across their international portfolio
- Glencore (2013–2021), facilitation of operator reserves and resources reporting
